My name is Tomo Helman and every year I follow the same rules to pick stocks and to decide when to buy/sell them.

I call this strategy Dogs of The Season (DOTS). The season I'm referring to is the period from autumn to spring during which I hold stocks. From spring to autumn I hold cash.

You've probably heard of
‘Sell in May and Go Away’
Well, that famous saying really works according to this recent academic study and Seasonal Timing Strategy introduced in 1999 in the book Riding the Bear written by one of the best market timers in the world - Sy Harding.

I use technical analysis to determine exact dates in autumn and spring to buy and sell stocks.

Don't be scared to use this (or any) strategy because of one bad season. There's no reason to believe that the strategy has stopped working - just the probability that the next seasons will be above average is increased.

OK, now I know when to buy and sell stocks, but which ones? Here comes my stock selection process which chooses fundamentally strong companies from Barron's 400 Index that meet certain criteria. If you want to find out more, you will have to contact me or wait for my book ☺.
